I just got off the phone with my grand daughter...we had a very nice conversation! She said life is moving too fast! Isn't that the truth! She just turned 17 and is a certified EMT and fire fighter in the state of South Dakota. She won't be able to contribute her skills until she is 18 but as she said, she has a head start on it! You go girl!
So we talked and made plans for her to come out for a visit in March during spring break! One week of kicking back, relaxing, swimming, and of course shopping!
Then she asks me if it would be alright for her boyfriend to come with...Boyfriend? A week stay here? You together? Seperate rooms? please say yes! I didn't know how to respond! I was sitting here with this shit face on wondering, thinking, anticipating, contemplating, ready to slap myself silly and then she says she was just kididng! C'mon dear sweet grandchild... don't give Granny a premature stroke!
Good News? No, it's Great News!
UPDATE: Grand Daughter wants to come out next week! She can do her studies from here....and have Grampa Mr Wonderful help her! This is even better news!
Update #2: Mr Wonderful has once again burst my bubble...thanks! So, I was happy for a moment....

Yay! Glad you have fun times ahead to look forward to. When is she coming in?
I was hoping next week but Mr W is well...having a problem about that!DAMN it sucks to be happy!
mr wonderful has no problem and thinks it would be great ... he'd just like to know what's going on ...
I'd say whenever she can come would be awesomely great! Let her come in March for Spring Break - no worries about studies, etc. Just a great week of bonding time (shopping time?) :) Grandma + Granddaughter = the truest, purest love there is! Go for it, don't let anything stop you. Mr. W has supported your desires and will no doubt continue to do so, as you seem to be the Mrs. W to his Mr. W! And if not, JUST DO IT ANYWAY! A good man will never try and stop such love (and he'll get over it, if not.) :)
Thanks GA...he's gotten over it! I found out, Grand daughter doesn't like her rules and regulations at home (17 y/o know's everything)and wants an escape...Grrrrr
Well, that's a 17 yo for ya! Glad she felt she could reach out to Gramma though, for whatever reason. :)
Also, good to see your comment on my blog - seems a few of us were getting worried about you, you crazy Pink Flamingo! :)
