Instant Fun
Yesterday I had some dear friends, and their kids over to enjoy a day of swimming inside. No worry about getting sunburned here while spending hours in the pool.

BYE
No, No, No, don't worry, I am not quitting blogging like some person we all know and love~ By the way...glad to see you back, and blogging again PAP 2.0.
The other night we heard sirens, and when you live in a community with the population of 950 people, more than likely the emergency is going to be either close by or someone you know.
The sirens faded so we thought nothing more about it, and went about our usual way until the sirens started up again, and became louder as they grew closer. Sure enough you could hear the roar of the fire engines traveling down the road, and in no time they were passing our house.
I immediately ran outside to see if I could determine which neighbor they were heading towards. The first fire truck passed quickly, and was out of sight. A second one speeds by, and turns directly into the neighbors driveway kitty corner across the street. What the...the first fire engine passed the house? Not a good sign~
Then next comes an ambulance, and then another. I of course had my camera in hand, with the telephoto lens attached pretending to be the neighborhood paparazzi cause you know... this is good blogging material!
I watched as they carried someone out on a stretcher, and carefully lifted it up into the back of one of the ambulances. In a matter of minutes they sped off, and were on their way hopefully to the nearest hospital.
All the excitement for the evening was over, and I sat here with Mr. Wonderful. He turned to me and said... Honey, if anything ever happens to me, do me a favor...Don't call that ambulance service~I don't want to be riding in a vehicle down the road that says...BYE

Shootin' the Moon
The moon was out last night so I had to try and capture a picture of it with my new camera...Okay, so it just looks like a big white ball with a black background. Or is there a hole in my blog?
This one a tree branch got in my way, but I thought it looked better than the first one I took. Not one of my best shots, but then again I am not a photographer.
And of course here's Mr. Wonderful's hand with a little frog perched upon his thumb. Little did I know he was catching frogs while I was...Monday, June 16, 2008
Happy Camper
Saturday afternoon we went to Junction City in Peoria Heights to see the exotic car show, and attend the raffle drawing that CASA was holding. We bought $50.00 worth of raffle tickets for a chance to win one of their play houses. As my luck would have it, we didn't win so instead headed over to the nearest Kmart, and purchased one of our own.
Now mind you, this is not for kids, it's for us! It's actually the Olympic Cottage Tent...perfect for us who aren't campers, but like to set one up in the backyard, and pretend that we are!
I think it will be the ideal in-law quarters too! Stick an inflatable mattress in there and a port-a potty and no more worries about my toilet seat getting broken.
I can't wait to set it up and decorate the inside...Velcro some pictures on the walls, put down a nice oriental carpet, buy some furniture...I'm really a Happy Camper!

Bucket 'O Death
What a gorgeous morning it is! For once I am able to open up the windows and enjoy my morning coffee in the sun room. A nice gentle breeze of fresh air...Mmmm and the coffee is good too!
Then I turn around to look at the pool and check on my 'munks, and the trap that I set last night. I see them peeking out from under the cover checking out the "Bucket 'O Death"...You kind of wonder what they are saying...hey, why don't you go first?
Then one of them gets brave while the other one takes off for the cover....
