They are found in both the Western and Eastern Hemispheres, but are more numerous in the latter. There are four species in the Americas while two exist in the Old World. Now you know~

I still have to take a walk in the woods...So I am told, there is a creek that runs through the property. Get your hiking boots on and c'mon over! If you're going to come today, wear cross country ski's....it's snowing! :)
