We Wii!

After many months of begging...finally Mr. Wonderful is talked into getting the Wii game system thanks to Linda over at Grandma's Attic. All she had to tell him was they are coming out with Mario Cart, and he was sold! If only I had known it would have been so easy...

Saturday morning we went out Wii hunting. We went to every place imaginable, and you can imaging the disappointment when we were told that no one had the system. Lots of games, nothing to play them on. Sam's club told us they were having a sale next Friday starting at midnight...be there and hope you get one! Then we stopped into every game stores in the malls, went to the big box stores, and our only hope was Toys R Us. The salesperson told us there, they were getting some in, and our best bet to get one was to be there at 6:00 in the morning and cross our fingers.

Yeah, like we are going to get up on a Sunday morning, go stand outside Toys R Us and wait for four hours until they opened? I highly doubt it...If push came to shove, we would end up ordering one online and wait patiently for it to be delivered.

Sunday morning, we woke up, Mr. W. hiked down to the mail box in his robe to get the newspaper to check out all the sales ads. Someone has to have the Wii! After going through the paper with no luck of seeing one advertised, we decided to get dressed and go to Toys R Us half awake.

When we arrived, the parking lot was full and there were a lot of people standing by the door. There was a sales person standing outside entertaining people while they waited...Okay, I think she was just telling people what else they would need besides the game system. Mr. W. dropped me off by the door, and he went and parked the car...The sales person approached me and at this moment I thought she was going to tell me "sorry go back home" but instead she handed me a piece of paper which had the price and description or the Wii system. The piece of paper also known as the "golden ticket" I GOT ONE!!! I was like a little kid, so excited!

When 10:00 came, the doors opened and people where so courteous, not pushing or shoving, but casually walking in like nothing was happening. We all headed back to where the Wii's were, stood in line and paid for our new addictions.

We couldn't stop there...we had to go to Best Buy and pick out some new games, another controller, and I just had to have Guitar Hero cause you know, I ROCK!
Instead of cleaning out the garage...Mr. W. plays baseball in the kitchen! Doesn't everyone? Notice my dinette table has been moved in order to make room for Wii !

Julie...you WILL get exercise! I think I shed 5 pounds yesterday just from bowling, tennis, baseball and golf. I can't wait until the exercise game comes out...What fun!

Thats awesome! My husband turns 30 in September so that is supposed to be his gift, but I didn't realize they were still in such high demand. We played tennis a while ago at someone's house... I call it wiinis. It was a blast! Mr. Wonderful probably always dreamed of playing ball in the house so he is in heaven!

The only time I ever got to a store early was to try to get TMX Elmo in 06. We got one, but the whole process was very secretive. No one seemed to be particularly helpful telling you where to wait for it, but we were just positive Lexie would love it. Turns out, Lexie was scared by him. Scared to tears. We found another home for him.

I want to hear about Guitar Hero though! One of my basketball players injured her wrist playing that and was out for half the season. Since then I have been highly intrigued.

Happy Monday!

Wait! Did I Just see American Idol for Wii? I am flying to Peoria to play, maybe I can hitch a ride on a flamingo.

Yes becs...we got American Idol too! C'mon out! Wii play in Peoria!
If you are going to get Wii for your husband, I would suggest start looking now. I knew I should have gotten two systems yesterday! I'll let you know about my wrist's and guitar hero...I was more worried I was going to throw out my shoulder bowling!

becs, I forgot to tell you~
Simon loved me, Paula thinks I'm great, and Randy says I'm the best he's ever heard! :) I'm the next American Idol!

At least someone is impressing the judges... should I place a "vote for myflockrocks" sidebar on my blog rather than a syesha one?

Wow, I guess I will start looking soon. Maybe I will have to change it from birthday to father's day.

I was shocked when SIMON said he loved me!! I was impressed and patted myself on the back...

I don't know about adding me to your side bar. I like Syesha! Besides, I think I'm too old to be an American Idol.

You better start shopping now if you want one...Games for it would be a great gift idea for his birthday!

Well, ok then, I will keep Vote for Syesha up... you almost had her beaten out though ;)

I will be looking starting this weekend. OF course everyone probably looks on the weekend.

Wii, found out from our wiikend shopping trip, that Sunday was our best bet. :) Of course if Wii didn't go out on Saturday, then Wii wouldn't have know Toys R Us were going to have them Sunday.

Can you tell. I am addicted to Wii!

I tried Guitar Hero last night...let's just say, I'll stick to singing in the band!

Wii appreciate your information regarding the wii. Although Wii may just have to see what connections wii may have at local stores to ease the effort a little. Thats how wii got word on the elmo shipment.
(just trying to fit in)
watch out on your shoulder injury, my husband said there is an entire website out there devoted to injuries sustained while play the wii!

becs...I know, and I am no spring chicken but after only 3 days I feel like I am finally getting into shape!

I think what I am going to need next is a hot tub to soak in after a good Wii Workout. Either that or turn up the furnace in the pool to 110! Wii!

Guess Carly's screaming did her in... should have taken lessons from you.

She sings a heck of a lot better than me! It was the wrong choice for her to go...but at least it wasn't Syesha!
