This morning I was able to get the little varmint with my camera, but after I witnessed this, I am ready to shoot the little critter with something other than my Sony Cyber Shot!
JUST GOT OUT OF THE POOL!
And no...I didn't offer him a towel!
Flamingos are gregarious wading birds in the genus Phoenicopterus and family Phoenicopteridae. They are found in both the Western and Eastern Hemispheres, but are more numerous in the latter. There are four species in the Americas while two exist in the Old World. Now you know~

Subday moring, I woke up early and went outside and there were 12 squirrels and 5 rabbits running around the yard.
It was like a swarm attacking the hive!
At least he wasn't drinking your beer too!
hipkat...that's where they belong...outside in the yard! Not in the house or swimming in MY POOL!
EBB...I better go check! I can just see them now...sitting at the Tiki bar, with their drinks and my little paper umbrellas!!!
I'd suggest a cat to combat the little critters, but my mom has found that out in the woods, the cats like to bring in their presents. Then there was the time my brother and his wife were housesitting and they heard a knocking on the slider door one night. So my dumbass brother opens it and flying in comes a woodpecker.
GA...I was just thinking about getting a cat and keeping it in the pool area. Then I googled how to get rid of chipmunks, and it says to spray fox urine around...You think I can lure a fox in to take piss? Or should I say...leave one?
You have some squatters with a lot of bravado, thats for sure! Taking a dip in your pool... and you better start making lines on your bottles to see if they are sneaking any alcohol, for sure. I would be totally screaming if I saw one in my house... Lexie on the other hand thinks its incredibly awesome that chip and dale live at your pool. IF they dont leave you could always make a mini attraction out of the chipmunks and sucker little kids into paying to see the real live chip and dale :)
becs...roflmao! Good idea! I didn't know chipmunks could swim but he swam the whole length of the pool, and he was under the cover! Glad Lexie enjoyed the little bugger! :)
You know, I just re-read your post which had ME laughing and realized you didnt offer him a towel... I mean, really, what kind of hostess are you? Geez. YOu were probably holding the cover down too "accidentally"... weren't you? (jk)
becs...I know I am a bad hostess, but I have a feeling they have probably used my flamingo towels already! Hold the cover down? Those rodents would probably just chew a hole in it! I think it's kitty kitty time!
as long as kitty kitty gets along with doggy doggy x 2...
although fox urine does sound particularly appealing for spreading around the pool deck, doesnt it?
becs...I think I am going to try the fox urine...I'm just hoping it doesn't smell like cat piss! That would NOT be appealing! P.U.
That is so crazy! I could never imagine a chipmunk swimming in a pool, either! So funny.
jennifer...me neither! I didn't think they could swim! I thought someone once blogged about trapping chipmunks using a bucket of water and a plank with the bait at the end. When they walked the plank, they fell into the water and drowned...Who was that blogger?
Those little guys weren't quite the Chip 'n Dales you were hoping to have in your pool room, where they? :)
(That was too funny not to add to the comments...hat tip to GA for that one!)
Rix...that was so funny! Yeah, I wish they were the other "Chippendales" ooh la la!
I found it! http://tsheets.blogspot.com/2007/06/pool-of-death.html
Don't know if this will work because my little 'munks are olympic swimmers! It's worth a try though...
Ha!! What a conniving little bastard.
Too funny.
