Flamingos are gregarious wading birds in the genus Phoenicopterus and family Phoenicopteridae. They are found in both the Western and Eastern Hemispheres, but are more numerous in the latter. There are four species in the Americas while two exist in the Old World. Now you know~

Diane...It started on Thursday and ran through Saturday night. It's mainly geared for the kids, small rides, the school bands, local farmers showing off their tractors in the parade and of course some politicians. Next year I will make sure I let you know.

I love the pics of the 'smiling' horse! Did you get any of that funnel cake that was in the background of the pictures? :) It looks like a ton of fun was had by all, and the kid turnout was great!
Linda...No, I didn't get any pics of any funnel cakes. I should have taken a pic of the scrumptous burger I had at Ludy's. They are to die for! It was a great time, and although there were a lot of people there, it wasn't really crowded.

what's shaking...It was fun, but my head still hurts from where I got hit with that 100 mph flying tootsie roll! LOL! It left a mark!
