I am always looking for a new bathing suit...one that is flattering to me now that I am considered over the hill. I still have my hour glass figure, just a little more sand!
When I was younger I had to have the skimpiest suit available. The itsy bitsy teeny weeniest one created because I wasn't swimming, I was wading for compliments!
Then as I grew older, the one piece bathing suits not only looked sophisticated, but hid some of the flaws that you just can't seem to get rid of no matter how much you work out.
Now I am at that stage where I wish there was a whole body swim suit! I could purchase a scuba outfit and look as if I just got out of the blue lagoon! Get me a mask, snorkel and some fins and I'd look like I was diving for pearls!
Then I found these beauties! Who ever thought of the tankini was a genius! Although I do feel a little funny swimming in shorts and or a skirt but I guess once you hit that certain age...who gives a shit? I am no longer skinny dipping...I'm fatty dunking!

This suit suits me fine!
And an added bonus...it's on sale!

Okay Diane, as soon as I get it, I will update the photo...NOT!
awwwww...c'mon!!! That's the whole point of this suit! To make you feel not so self conscious! :-)
I love tankinis. Not having a bikini belly, but hating the hassle of restroom trips in a one piece, a tankini is perfect. The one you have pictured is really cute... but if you're still searching, land's end usually has a really good selection of tankinis.
Just be careful that the tankini doesn't wander. I was swimming with some friends. I could have sworn my friend was in a one piece but when she got out of the pool she looked like she had a bikini on. As we had been sitting in the pool drinking our beer her tankini gradually migrated up. At least it was just us girls! :)
ts...I don't think there is a suit in the world that would make me fell less self conscious.
Jennifer~thanks for the tip...I'll check out Lands End!
EBB~ I am laughing my A$$ off! That's too funny! I'll have to test it out...and if all fails, I'll anchor it with some velcro!
That's what Iam talking about ! I will have to keep that in mind if I go to my son in Virginia who has the swimming pool !
I need something that goes down to my knees to cover up the ugly cellulite on my thighs! Gee, I wonder if I could sew on some extra material like lace or mesh to the bottom of each leg!
I prefer the one piece with boy shorts, but they are so hard to find! Jennifer and I used to have matching ones, but then she progressed to the tankini. She can use the restroom with greater ease, but I have witnessed some odd effects in the whirlpool, when large airbubbles have crept up the top.
Thanks for letting me know Secret Server about the effects in the whirlpool! I'll make sure I have a one piece on!
