Dem Bones
We decided to try something different and give the big boys something different to chew on besides the toys that we found to have a life expectancy of just a matter of minutes. We thought that something big, yummy, and messy would do the trick. After all who doesn't want a good thing to last a long time?

Wait? Are those like real bones from an animal or are they the kind you get at the store. I don't want to be cleaning that carpet, for sure!
becs...yes, we got them from the pet store. I didn't want them eating them outside and getting them all dirty so they ate them on the carpet. No way could they eat them on the tile floor...that would have been too easy for me to clean up. I was surprised that they really didn't make that big of a mess on the rug.
Helpful hint for edible chewy things for dogs: Stay away from pig parts: hooves, ears, etc. They make a slime when they're chewed and smell atrocious.
morton malaise...we do stay away from the hooves because they splinter, and pig parts? Well, the biggy boys do love them ears (sorry GA)
Ahhh, the Power of Bones.
The only time my dog growled at me was when he stole some chicken bones from the garbage can. I had to wrestle them away from him. But he didn't want to relinquish his prize. So, he growled in protest. And that was kinda scary. But I prevailed nonetheless.
