I have picked a total of eight tomatoes out of my garden this week so far.
There is nothing like the taste of a home grown, big red juicy tomato straight out of the garden...I could live on them for the rest of the summer!
The best thing about tomatoes is that you can eat them, and not feel guilty. Unless you are like me and have to have them swimming in a bowl of Ranch Dressing, and I am not talking low cal either...
Well, you are probably wondering where the pictures are of my beefsteak 'matoes...There isn't any...I had to choose whether to take pictures or eat them...

I, too, love a tomato right out of the garden. With some salt and pepper. The rest of the family doesn't share my love.
In fact, last summer I took a bite and said "A fresh tomato tastes just like a bite of sunshine" and my beloved responded, "Wow, I didn't know sunshine tasted like ass."

Just be sure and have plenty of toliet paper on hand ! ROTFL
You could always go just a tad healthier, tho not lo-cal, and sprinkle some olive oil (high in Omega-3) and balsamic vinegar, salt and pepper on those puppies! (The big boy tomatoes, silly, not the big boy doggies.) Flavors of summer - YUM! :)

GA...I am not a salt eater, but yum...lots of garlic I can do~ Thanks for the tip, I'll try the EVOO & balsamic vinegar ~
Hey. I am back. I was admitted to teh hospital bc I had been so sick for 5 days. We are staying with my mom this weekend so i wont really be online... not quite up to it yet. I am sure I will blog about it come early next week. I am doing much better. Just a severe case of hyperemesis.
