I swear...I was out in the garden yesterday, and there were just a couple small zucchini's not bigger than my finger. I thought for sure in a couple of weeks they would be ready for picking.
Apparently I don't know anything about the rapid growth of a squash because this morning when I went out to water the garden these two beauties were half the size of my forearm and ready for picking! Mmmm...zucchini!

I told you they'd grow fast! And they ain't gonna quit coming for a while.
You can shred 'em and freeze them for a nice loaf of zucchine bread in the dead of winter!
Rix...I could eat them every day, and the good thing is, Mr. W likes them too! Mmmm steamed and slathered with garlic butter...
Do you think I'll get enough to freeze? I only put in two plants.
We love 'chinni!!! And chinni bread! You probably don't even have to buy fruits and veggies with all the gooods your gardens grow :)
becs...my garden isn't that big, next yearthough... MEGA garden! We have pears that aren't ripe yet, and I am ready to pick my 'matoes and paint them red!
Want me to send you a 'chinni?
It looked like you did some nice compact bush zucchinis, I'll bet that you'll get more than you can eat...and I LOVE zuc's. I like to slice them thin, dip in egg and then in flour and fry 'em up in some olive oil. Takes me back to when I was a kid....my dad couldn't fry them fast enough for us to each then!
We also grill 'em in a grill pan thing with quartered green peppers, tomatoes and mushrooms.
I'm jealous of your garden. Just wait, next year I'll have one just like I had up north!
Rix...if I get a bumper crop of them, I will share them with you~
Mmmmm...fried zucc's! Just might be what's for breakfast! :)
I've never like zucchini. I dunno. They remind me of mutant cucumbers.
Ooooooh! I LOVE me a big zucchini! :)~
