Yes, this morning I decided...It's time to take inventory of all my clothes. Although I threw out a lot, and gave a lot to charity before we moved, I still have so many. So, here's the confessions of me, the clothes horse...
Why do I have to keep all of these clothes? Some have special memories like a T-shirt that my son gave me when he was skiing like the Kennedy's in Colorado, or my old gym suit from High School...gotta keep that because I can still fit into it! A few clothes that don't fit, but someday I'll get back into them! And all the clothes from different era's...50's, 60's 70's 80's...those will come back in style!
So, I am taking an inventory this morning and this is what I find...
I have approximately 184 T-shirts that are hanging because they are all my favorites. Not to mention the ones I haven't counted yet that are in my dresser drawers because I don't have any more room to hang them up. That will be my next project...clean out my drawers!
18 pairs of jeans...and if anyone knows me, I don't wear jeans. So, why do I have them? I don't know...just because I guess! Maybe someday I'll wear them...
38 long sleeve sweaters and 16 short sleeve. I had a lot more, but like I said, I gave a lot of them away. Mostly the wool ones because I hate wool! I don't like the scratchy feeling, and with my hot flashes, I can keep warm on my own.
22 sweatshirts...
27 long sleeve shirts...
17 short sleeve shirts...
22 sleeveless....
53 skirts...I think I have more, so lets say that's a rough estimate.
16 suits...
20 dresses...
46 pairs of shoes...
23 purses... isn't it a rule of thumb to have a purse to match each pair of shoes? I think I might need to go purse shopping!

Closets are overrated. I just keep my clothes in a pile, next to the bed.
Flock, darn you have me beat on the shoes thing, however I have a really sexy pair of boots purchased today, from TJ Maxx! I try and fling old things out before new stuff comes in and there is a old pair that I can bin.

My closet is tiny, thus I've had to branch out to the coat closet, the spare bedroom closet, the spare bedroom dresser. The laundry room, the laundry hamper, etc....
I guess I need to join you in the great closet cleanout caper of 2007.
Jennifer...the only reason why I went through my closet is because we moved and I kinda had to...I have clothes in other closets and dressers as well, but this is just in my main one...geez, I didn't even count my coats or boots!
Damn you, Flamingo! I have been procrastinating on that one for months now. You had to go and remind me! :( I have too many clothes in too many places and just dread going through them. I just did it last year, I thought. Now that I think about it, it has been over 2 years now that I have been planning a garage sale.
For crying out loud...I have clothes from high school! and you know I wear them all the time! NOT! Hey honey...wanna see me in my old gym suit?
